Stormy Night
It’s a strange feeling to drive on a highway late at night during a lightening storm; to hear the low rumble of thunder over a cornfield after varicose veins of lightening have set shadow puppet clouds dancing across the sky. And not a single drop of rain fell while I was en route. But lightening struck close enough to my car to illuminate it… Sending pinpricks of fear over my skin. In light of recent events, I’m not sure whether I am running from the storm, chasing it… or simply trying to survive.

anyone else ever listened to The Format, but Dog Problems is still one of my all time favorite albums. That being said, I was so excited when I went to a live show after The Format broke up, only to discover Nate Reuss in a new band, Fun. I fell in love with their first album, Aim and Ignite. Last week they came out with a new album, Some Nights, and I’m not sure if any of you are familiar with this album, but it’s a complete sell out. They autotuned (not well) a lot of the tracks, and even though the words are great, it’s a huge deviation from their original stuff. I’m not saying I won’t listen to it… who knows, maybe it’ll grow on me after a road trip or two; some of the best music does. But for right now, I’m just a little disappointed in them. Congrats on the second album, boys; here’s hopin’ I like it someday!

That Samantha Barks, of the Queen’s Theatre Les Mis, will be taking her rightful place on stage in the upcoming musical movie of the play. So excited for this movie!! I saw the musical at the Queen’s Theatre last December and it was brilliant. Samantha Barks is amazing. Can’t wait!
